According to Forrester Research Inc., the customer-centric approach to the BPM discipline will mean the emergence of low-code platforms, new engagement architectures and cloud-based work orchestration.  Forrester Research also suggests that this customer-centric approach will lead to "a resurgence of dynamic case management and smart process apps, which will put people in the centre of the process", and "The shift to customer centricity will displace well-established process improvement techniques, such as Six Sigma, and shake up an aging BPM software market".
